Coil coating is one of the most advanced, efficient and environmentally friendly means of coating metals available. Large metal coils (including cold rolled steel, electro-galvanised, aluminium, stainless steel and copper) can be coated in a continuous, highly automated process prior to manufacture. In this continuous process, the metal is uncoated and then cleaned and chemically treated. Depending on the product specification, one or both sides can then be primed and/or topcoated, oven cured and rewound for shipment.
The range of coatings available is virtually unlimited and includes polyester, epoxy, vinyl, plastisol, water-based emulsions, dry lubricants and more. In addition, product quality is constantly improving due to new industry-specific coatings being regularly marketed and advanced testing being carried out throughout the coil coating process.


Quality control advantages

The coating line process is designed to produce highly homogeneous coatings of impeccable quality. These coatings are applied with precision using special equipment that provides a high quality finish. The coatings can be on both sides of the metal and conform to the finished specification.
To ensure the best possible results, extensive quality control tests are carried out during the coil coating process.
